Greenwood was built out between the late 1970s and the early 1980s, which means most of the original boundary fences have now done forty-odd years of Perth summers. Timber posts rot at ground level. Fibro sheeting cracks and gets brittle. Every winter a few more panels come down in a storm and the neighbours end up splitting the cost of a temporary fix.
