The blocks are big by modern standards, single storey brick and tile, with mature trees and established gardens that make access interesting. Some of the land near the transport hub is being subdivided, which throws up brand new internal boundaries that never had a fence. Ground conditions are the standard Perth mix of sand over limestone, so old posts often come out with a shove while new ones need proper depth and concrete to stay put.

Where a block near the station has been subdivided there is often no fence at all on the new line. We handle those from scratch, including tying the new run back into the existing side fences so the corners look like they were always meant to be there.

Side gates on older Warwick homes are usually narrower than anything you now need to get through them. Trailers, ride on mowers and bins do not fit, so the gate gets forced, the frame racks and the latch stops meeting. When we replace the fence it is the right moment to widen the opening.
